The Notebook

I don't know many girls who haven't watched The Notebook. Its a fact, chick flick lover or not this movie is a must see. The film is based on a novel written by Nicholas Sparks, however, I believe the novel ends differently. Its sequel was released in 2003 and its called The Wedding. Sparks is fairly well known for his romance novels, he wrote the book from which A Walk to Remember was based on too! I definately intend to add one to my summer reading list!

Summer is Coming

Yesterday we turned our clocks forward by an hour, the sky is blue and the trees are blossoming, without a doubt summer is on its way. I look forward to the lazy days in the nearby countryside with my friends and the holidays we've made plans for. I'm not a sporty person but the good weather really does bring out the healthier side to me.

Today I watched my boyfriend play tennis. I watched a few matches last month during a missions trip to Rwanda and was fascinated. The sport does indeed look fun when you watch it played by decent players, however, I lack a little in the technique department i.e. I play like a badminton player. No worries though, I'll persevere!

Signature Ring

I don't watch television on a regular basis, in the last 6 months I have taken to buying boxsets. In my opinion they are good value for money. GossipGirl has been one of these series I cannot drag my attention from. So much so that I find my self watching the new series on a weekly basis (i'm not patient enough to wait for the box set!).

Although I find Blair Waldorf remarkably antagonising at times, her style is to be admired and respected. Those signature alicebands, the frilly dresses and elegant 'prep' style lead me cruising through catalogues and websites after similar items. However, the item I covert the most is not an item of clothing, a designer handbag or a glamourous pair of shoes, it is Blair Waldorf's ring. I am seriously considering having one made for me, in a similar style, this summer. Unable to find a suitable picture of the actual ring, I have posted the closest image I could find below (although I believe the original is made of gold).
